Our beautiful setting on historic Winfield Farms sets us apart from other group homes in Virginia—or, indeed, other residential group homes for adults with mental illness throughout the nation. The property, complete with a pond and a historic log cabin, is located in Fairfax but has a quiet and tranquil park-like feel. The farm is bounded by woods and mature residential neighborhoods. Dating from the mid 1700’s, the log homes, stables, fences, gardens, and pond provide a serene and rural atmosphere without sacrificing the close proximity to the nation’s capital and all it has to offer.
Thanks to our location, we can take advantage of all of the opportunities of Reston, Fairfax, and the greater Metropolitan DC area activities and offerings: sports, culture, entertainment, and the arts, as well as participation in the greater community through education and work.
On any given day you might find someone reading on the deck while someone else might start their day at the local gym or heading to a volunteer position or a supported work environment. If outdoor activities interest you, we offer 18 acres in which to hike, cross-country ski, fish, garden, or just enjoy the peace and quiet.
